  • Effective January 1, 2010 [2010/2011 licensing cycle]; Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification [Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals] is required for initial licensure and license renewals. Evidence of CPR certification must be provided for audit compliance or upon request of the Board. CPR certification and/or recertification courses are approved for CME Category A Credit for up to 3 CME hours.

    Initial Full Licensees: All new applicants will be required to show current CPR certification prior to Full License approval

    Current Licensees: For the upcoming license renewal (around October 2009); ALL current licensees will be required to show CPR certification as part of their CME requirement.

    CPR certification courses are available from: The American Red Cross and The American Heart Association.

  • Board Meetings take place at the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene [Metro Executive Building], 4201 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215. The Public session begins at 1:00pm and is open to the public.
