Eastern Shore Hospital Center Privacy & Accreditation Statement

PUBLIC NOTICE The Joint Commission (JC) conducts unannounced accreditation surveys to evaluate the Eastern Shore Hospital Center’s (Cambridge, MD) compliance with nationally established JC standards.  In order to promote continuous public involvement, this is to advise that while use of hospital staff, administrative mechanisms, or patient rights advisor to resolve patient safety and quality-of-care issues is encouraged, an individual may contact the JC with their concerns. No disciplinary action will be taken because an employee reports, in good faith, safety or quality-of-care concerns to JC. Anyone (patients, their families, advocates, staff, others) believing they have pertinent and valid information about such matters may contact the Joint Commission’s Office of Quality Monitoring by calling 1-800-994-6610, e-mailing complaint@jointcommission.org, in writing to: Office of Quality Monitoring, The Joint Commission, One Renaissance Boulevard, Oakbrook Terrace, IL  60181, or by FAX 630-792-5636.

Title VI The services and facilities of the Eastern Shore Hospital Center are operated on a non-discriminatory basis. They are subject to the provisions of various federal laws. The laws prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, religion, color, political affiliation or opinion, age, sex, disability, and apply to the assignment of services, use of facilities, opportunity to participate, employment practices, and granting of advantages, privileges and accommodations. No person will be denied equal access to services based on his/her inability or limited ability, to communicate in the English language.
