Advocacy organization dedicated to federal HIV/AIDS policy. Includes AIDS policy divided by issue and level of expertise, legislative action center, and links.

AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition (AVAC)
Volunteer advocacy coalition dedicated to the development of HIV vaccines. Includes information and links to advocacy for HIV vaccines.

Department of Justice (DOJ)
This federal agency includes the Civil Rights Division and has information and free technical assistance about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as well as information on federal non-discrimination laws and regulations.

HIVInsite
This site from the University of California San Francisco Center for AIDS Prevention Studies and AIDS Research Institute includes legislative updates; information, analysis, discussion and interviews on HIV/AIDS policy; and links.

Lambda Legal and Education Fund

National Association for People with AIDS (NAPWA)

This web site from The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) has information about drug use and HIV. They state behavior associated with drug abuse is now the single largest factor in the spread of HIV infection in the United States.

This web site is for the Asian and Pacific Islander Wellness Center in San Francisco, but is a good source for HIV/AIDS information and National Resources relating to Asian and Pacific Islanders.

Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation
A non-profit organization involved in research, education, and outreach programs for pediatric AIDS worldwide. The web site has fact sheets, news, information on programs and grant opportunities, and an extensive list of U.S. and international HIV/AIDS Organizations & Online Resources.

The National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC)
This national organization is dedicated to developing leadership within communities of color to address the challenges of HIV/AIDS. This site has information and publications for training, advocacy, and technical assistance.

Women and HIV/AIDS
The National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC), a service of the Office on Women's Health (OWH) in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), provides information and links to helpful resources for women who are at risk for getting HIV, living with HIV, or caring for a friend, child, or other family member.

Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR)
This compilation of Maryland State Agency regulations includes links to other information and services available from the Maryland Division of State Documents.

Maryland General Assembly

The National HIV/AIDS Clinicians' Consultation Center is an AIDS Education and Training Centers clinical resource for health care professionals from the University of California, San Francisco at San Francisco General Hospital. There are hotline numbers, guidelines, publications, links and other resources at this site.

NPIN is a service of the CDC National Center for HIV, STD and TB Prevention (NCHSTP) and includes the nation's largest collection of information and resources on HIV, STD and TB prevention.

HIV Glossary
From AIDSinfo, a service of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, this glossary is available in English and Spanish and can be downloaded to a Palm PDA.

PubMed
PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, is a database with links to online journals including many sites providing full text articles.

Specialized Information Services (SIS)
The Specialized Information Services (SIS) Division of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) lists information resources and services for HIV/AIDS.

Research

AIDS Research Institute (ARI)
The AIDS Research Institute (ARI) coordinates and integrates all AIDS research activities at the University of California, San Francisco which includes three major centers-the UCSF GIVI Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), the California AIDS Research Center (CARC), and the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS).

Office of AIDS Research
The Office of AIDS Research (OAR) is located within the Office of the Director of National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is responsible for the scientific, budgetary, legislative, and policy elements of the NIH AIDS research program.
