FAQs from Pharmacies

How do pharmacies submit a claim to MADAP?

Pharmacies submit claims electronically to First Health Services, MADAP's claims processor, just as they do with the Maryland Kidney Disease Program. First Health Services requires that claims be submitted electronically in the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) standardized Version 5.1. For assistance call First Health Services Provider Relations at (804)965-7729, or call MADAP at (410)767-6535.

How do pharmacies become MADAP participants?

Pharmacies currently submitting claims with the Maryland Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid) are automatically eligible to participate in the MADAP program. Call MADAP at (410)767-6535 and ask to be added to the pharmacy list. Please be prepared to give your Medicaid provider number and your federal tax identification number.

If pharmacies are not a Maryland Medicaid provider and would like to participate in MADAP, please contact Maryland Pharmacy Network Enrollment at (410)767-5340 and First Health Services Provider Relations at (804)965-7729.
